
Rainy Halloween: Where to Celebrate while Staying Dry
Boooo! What happens when one of the most anticipated holidays of the year for kids and adults alike is forecasted to be a wet weather day? We search for indoor activities to celebrate even when its going to be a rainy Halloween. So get them dressed up in their costumes and get ready to save yourself some of their candy stash by visiting these events taking place in and around the West End of Montreal.
Haunted Houses
Hampstead Haunted House – Open to children under the age of 5 from 5:30pm-6pm and older kids from 6pm-8pm. Hampstead Park.
Monkland Community Centre Haunted House – This one is said to be suitable for all ages. 6pm-8pm.
Westmount Haunted House – The theme of this year’s haunted house is Dark Chapel. Westmount Lawn Bowling Club. 5:30pm-8pm.
Family Celebrations
L’Halloween, ça se passe à LaSalle! – This community celebration has been moved indoors but still promises loads of fun including performances, treats, fireworks and many other surprises! Aréna Jacques Lemaire. 5:30pm-9pm.
Halloween at the Library – Get dressed up in your Halloween costume for a scavenger hunt and spooky stories at the library. Eleanor London Public Library. 4pm to 6pm.
Halloween Night – Music, movies, candy and family animation is on the itinerary for this free event. Maison de la Culture NDG. 5pm-7pm.
Halloween Fun Night – Experience a Harry Potter themed Halloween at this St. Laurent event. There will be face painting, mascots, candy and more. Faubourg Bois Franc. 2pm-7pm.
SHO’s Fall Celebration 4 Kids – Now in it’s 4th year, this non-Halloween dress up event is for everyone. Come dressed in a costume and participate in the activity stations. All participants must bring a bag of peanut-free candy. Registration is required. Loyola High School Gym. 6pm-8pm.
