Montreal with Kids: March 2025
Spring Break is here. Whether you’re heading out on vacation or planning a staycation, the entire month has some amazing events taking place in Montreal. From sugar shacks to concerts to sports competitions, the Montreal with kids March 2025 roundup has something for everyone.
Spring Break at Pointe-à-Callière Museum – March 1-7
Spring break starts in Old Montreal and if you’ve got a Harry Potter lover, this is the place to be! All week long, the museum will be offering free daily entertainment between 11am-4pm, with a wizarding theme. The schedule will include four different outdoor challenges for wizards, like magic potion making, and wand handling. And there will be a Harry Potter movie marathon, with different films every day that you can cozy up to watch on bean bags.
Spring Break at Indigo – March 3-7
Indigo book stores always pull out all the stops for spring break with a week of activities featuring some of their favourite brands. Every day at 1pm, kids 3+ can discover amazing toys from Lego, Tonies, Magnatiles, Hot Wheels, Dr. Seuss and Klutz, in craft, learning and play workshops. There are 4 locations in the Montreal area that will be participating.
Spring Break at Place des Arts – March 5-8
Another one of my free March break picks is downtown with cool activities for the entire family. Place des Arts will be offering a percussion show, circus workshop, craft workshop (creating Wizard of Oz costumes), and even a pancake mix cooking workshop. Some activities may be in French.
International Gymnix – March 5-9
Canada’s largest women’s artistic gymnastics competition comes to Montreal at Stade de soccer de Montreal. This is a great activity for any aspiring gymnasts or for the family to see amazing talent. Tickets start at $16 and provide you with full day access to the competitions. The event will also feature an outdoor winter village with maple taffy and entertainment.
Disney on Ice – March 6-9
A bi-annual tradition, this season’s show – Let’s Dance – is heading back to its original home at the Bell Centre. Two English shows are on the schedule: Sunday at 3pm and Thursday at 7pm. Tickets start at $32.
Cabane Panache at Promenade Wellington – March 20-23
Now in its 13th year, this Verdun community celebration is a sign that spring is here. 18 local restaurants will be taking to the streets to sell their delicacies for $6-$8. Alongside them will be an outdoor sugar shack, family area, game area, storytelling sessions, and more fun activities. This is a great way to experience a sugar shack vibe without leaving the city!
The Outdoor Adventure Show – March 22-23
This family-friendly trade show taking place at Palais des Congres, features everything you need to know to plan your next adventure, from paddling to scuba to amazing destinations. A special children’s activity will have them engaged: each child will receive a passport, follow bear prints around the show floor to get stamps, and then they can collect a special prize. Entrance for kids under 11 is free, adult tickets are $14.
Champions of Magic – March 20
An internationally acclaimed show, this amazing spectacle of illusions will be coming to Montreal for just one evening. The interactive, high-energy show combines humour, magic, and illusionists to wow audiences. Taking place at Place des Arts at 7:30pm, tickets start at $47 but I’m happy to share a special code for 20% with you! Use code CHAMPS20 at checkout here. Enjoy the magic!
Two Other Shows at Place des Arts…
These shows combine some of our kids’ favourite music with a live orchestra performance, making them amazing musical and cultural experiences for families to discover.
Frozen – March 23
The 2-hour show (with intermission) takes place at 2pm and tickets start at $85.
How to Train your Dragon – March 28-29
The show takes place at 7:30pm daily and tickets start at $87.
