Indoor Kids Activities at Home: Ball Pit Rental

Winter is coming. And maybe another lockdown too. What are we going do with our kids all winter long? The ski hills still seem to be undecided as to whether lessons will be happening. Many communities are building outdoor skating rinks. But what about those cold and frosty days they are forecasting when it just may be too bone-chilling-cold to go outside? This year we’re going to need a bunch of indoor kids activities at home in our parenting tool kit. And that’s where Le P’tit Village comes in.

This local company was born this past summer as a rising need for at-home activities during COVID-19. Le P’tit Village has a a vast array of soft play spaces that can be rented and delivered to your home. Whether it’s for a small family birthday celebration or a highly-needed energy-exhausting activity, there are quite a few packages to pick from.

Choose a package based on your child’s age including a tiny tot play area, little explorers, big kiddos and ball pits of all sizes. Packages range in price from $300-$500 which are perfect for a quarantine birthday at home. Ball pits also range in size and price and are a real treat for a weekend.

The owners, parents of three kids of their own, deliver and setup the equipment with strict safety measures in place. They wear masks, sanitize all surfaces and bring the ball pit balls sealed in bags after disinfecting them with ultraviolet light.

We were lucky enough to try out the medium sized ball pit with a rock wall and slide, balance beam and ball and animal hoppers. It was the first weekend since March that my kids barely even looked at their devices. The three of them just chilled in the ball pit playing games and coming up with challenges and obstacle courses. While the price tag may seem high compare it to what it would cost to spend a day at the zoo or skiing as a family and all of a sudden it really it the perfect indoor kids activity at home!
