Montreal March 2019: 8 Things to do with Kids
One more month to go until we can think about melting snow and warmer temperatures. In the meantime, we’ve got to keep the kids busy on spring break and during the last of the sub-zero weekends. Here’s my round up of 9 things to do with kids in Montreal March 2019.
The Montreal International Children’s Film Festival promises eight days of movies and workshops for kids of all ages. While much of the programming is in French, there are a few English titles on the schedule including: Troll – The Tale of Tail, The Jungle Bunch, Elijah & the Rock Creature, and more.

Every day during spring break at 11am, various Indigo stores will be hosting activities for kids 3+ (depending on the day). The week includes: a craft on Monday, LOL Surprise & Bakugan Collector Club on Tuesday, Lego building on Wednesday, a slime workshop on Thursday and Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol party for the little ones on Friday.

Sugar shack season starts early at one of Montreal’s favourite farms. Every weekend, families are invited to jump on a wagon ride, tap a tree and watch the maple syrup flow. The sweet ending including maple taffy on snow. Rides leave every hour on the hour between 10am and 3pm.
Quinn Farm, $2/admission + $7/activity fee
A circus for the older set (12+). Kombini tells the story of two clowns who are tired of waiting for a call to join the world’s biggest circus and decide to work a kid’s birthday party in the meantime. The laughs are guaranteed!
Cegep de Saint Laurent, 7:30pm, $2/ticket
Even kids can get in on the St Patrick’s Day fun by pulling up a spot along the parade’s route. The parade begins at Ste. Catherine street and Fort and ends at Metcalfe street.
Take them out to the ball game! Montreal is getting its baseball fix for two days when the Blue Jays take on the Brewers at the Olympic Stadium. The games on both Monday and Tuesday will take place at 7:05pm.
Olympic Stadium, $19.25-$86.75/ticket
Another great sporting event rounds out the list of Montreal March 2019 activities as the Harlem Globetrotters come to Montreal for one evening only. The show begins at 7pm.
