Montreal with Kids: April 2025

Spring, where are you? We’re ready for you to come out and play so we can enjoy all of the fun things this season has to offer in our beautiful city! While we wait, here are my top picks of activities and events in Montreal with kids April 2025 edition.

Pond Skimming!- Various Dates

This ski hill activity is making a comeback at various Quebec and Vermont resorts. If you don’t know what it is, a small pond is constructed at the base of a ski hill. Skiers and boarders dressed in costumes attempt to make it across the “pond”. Even if you’re not a skier, it’s a super entertaining outing, guaranteed to be filled with laughs. Here are a few upcoming dates:

Mont Sutton’s Snow on the Beach – April 5
Mont Tremblant’s Caribou Cup – April 5
Stowe, VT – April 12

Les Sucrés au Marché – April 5

The Atwater Market celebrates all things maple for this one-day event taking place from 10am to 5pm. There will, of course, be maple taffy on snow, maple mocktails and music and dancing. For the kids, there will be French storytelling sessions in the morning and inflatable games too.

Citizen Spring – April 5-27

The Montreal Botanical Gardens are ready for spring with 4 weekends of outdoor events for guests to discover nature at its best. This free event at the Frédéric Back Tree Pavilion includes a slew of workshops including Nature’s Good for Me, Consuming Differently, Discover the Yummy Side of the Transition and Plants at the Heart of the Solutions. Each weekend’s theme will educate through activities and workshops.

Easter Egg Hunt – April 12-13 & 18-21

Easter weekend is fast approaching so you better book your spot at the quintessential egg hunt at Quinn Farm. Each paying child ($11) will receive a basket to collect chocolate treats at every stop, and a handmade chocolate lollipop from the Easter Bunny! Reservations required.

Harlem Globetrotters – April 17-18

In what is now becoming an annual tradition, the Harlem Globetrotters are back in Montreal for two evenings. The first is on April 17th at 7pm at Place Bell in Laval, followed by April 18th at 7pm at the Bell Centre. Tickets start at $28.50.

Mean Girls – April 23-27

Coming to Montreal straight from Broadway, this play – just like the movie – tells the story of the trials and tribulations of high school girls. The production is geared to audiences that are 10+ and tickets to matinee or evening shows start at $59.

Bungee Montreal Opening – April 24

Montreal is getting a local dose of bungee jumping in the heart of the Old Port. This new activity, brought to us by the folks who dreamed up the giant zip line, will be 210ft high and over water. The activity is open to those 14+ and within certain weight restrictions. You can pre-book online already.

Stars on Ice – April 29

World-class figure skating is coming to Montreal at the end of the month with this show taking place at Place Bell. It will feature skating superstars like Elvis Stojko and Satoko Miyaha, as well as director and choreographer Kurt Browning. The show is at 7pm and tickets start at $24.
