Montreal with Kids: July 2025
Hello summer! Hello festivals! Hello to one of Montreal’s best seasons! It’s time to get outside and enjoy the city nights, summer sun and so much fun. Discover everything to do in Montreal with kids July 2025 has to offer!
Cirque du Paris – Until July 6
This travelling circus has landed in Lasalle, all the way from France. This one-ring family spectacle is full of thrills, humour and excitement. The 90-minute show includes BMX trick riders, grand illusionists, high-flying aerialists, and acrobats too. A family 4-pack runs for $80.
Complement Cirque – July 3-13
Another circus highlight of the summer comes to various locations throughout the city, with shows primarily being held at Maison Theatre. One of the super fun shows seems to be Rollercoaster, where a juggler is surrounded by a huge inflatable structure. Lots of free activities will also be taking place.
Châteauguay Nautical Festival – July 4-6
This festival celebrates an overall introduction to water sports. Activities are free and include canoeing, paddleboarding, SUP fitness and SUP yoga, sailing, windsurfing and wingboarding, and more. Boat rentals cost $5 and other free activities include inflatable structures, food trucks and many other surprises!
Taste of the Caribbean – July 10-13
Back for another year, this festival celebrates the island with multiple cultural events. Live Caribbean music will include reggae, salsa, soca, and more, and will accompany dance performances and drumming sessions. Food options will be available to sample local cuisine. Families can enjoy kid-friendly zones, workshops, and more.
À l’ouest de la Dame – July 11-13
Celebrate summer in the Sud Ouest with this Notre Dame street festival. Many fun, free activities on the weekend itinerary include a climbing wall, face painting, circus arts workshop and a circus show too. The activities take place between Atwater and Vinet streets.
Rendez-vous Familial des Pompiers – July 12-13
This firefighter festival at Angrignon Park kicks off with 3 running routes for a friendly competition – 1km, 5km, 10km – suiting runners of all skills and ages. Once the race is complete enjoy a free BBQ, and exhibition of antique fire trucks, a live simulation of a fire, inflatable games and the infamous Montreal fire prevention trailer.
Grand Poutinefest Old Montreal – July 16 – August 3
This poutine festival has been travelling around Montreal and surrounding areas since April but it’s about to land in Old Montreal for an 11-day event. On the menu is obviously – poutine – but there will also be live music, a 300 ft long inflatable obstacle course and lots of family-friendly activities.
National Bank Open, IGA Family Weekend – July 26-27
Women’s tennis is coming to Montreal this summer, and IGA is making the game accessible to families. During this special weekend there will be free access to the site, during the qualifying matches. Fun activities will include inflatables, mascots, a scavenger hunt, the Rogers mini court, yoga, zoo therapy and so much more. Definitely one not to miss!
